A Brief Introduction

The South West Textile Group (SWTG) was formed in 1988 by professional textile artists in the South West of England UK. Its aim is to support and improve the quality of textile creation in its broadest sense. The group has exhibited regularly at leading venues around the country and also curated three successful national touring exhibitions. Important to the group is the encouragement of new work and the personal development of its members. The Group is self funded and administered voluntarily by its members, all of whom expect to take an active role organizing exhibitions and events.
